New Treatment modality offered by Catharine Burt: Scar release therapy with the Dolphin Neruostim MPS device(s) to soften and release scars, realign fascia and promote efficient blood and lymph circulation. MPS can be part of your lymphedema treatment or your recovery after surgery. Contact Catharine if you have any questions.

Registered Massage Therapists (RMT's) assess the soft tissues and joints of the body. Registered Massage Therapists (RMT's) assess the soft tissues and joints of the body. They strive to treat and prevent physical dysfunction and pain of their client's soft tissue and joints by manipulation to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function and relieve pain. RMT's certified in decongestive therapy (CDT or CLT) assess and treat both new and long standing conditions of swelling to decrease discomfort, increase mobility and prevent complications of swelling. RMT's certified in MLD assess and treat a variety of conditions for those with healthy lymphatic systems.

ADP (Assistive Devices Program) Authorizer

The Assistive Devices Program of Ontario helps individuals with a diagnosis of lymphedema by contributing to the cost of maintenance garments. Swelling Solutions authorizers are available to help complete the process of applying to the program for the first time and subsequent two-year renewals.

Catharine has over 30 years of combined experience in nursing and as a Registered Massage Therapist, Catharine bases her treatment on current research in the field of lymphedema and best practices for the treatment of lymphedema. She provides her clients education so that they can become self-sufficient in a timely manner. Catharine has always upgraded her knowledge through courses, workshops and seminars and now offers Nutrition counselling as a registered holistic nutritional professional after receiving her diploma from CSNN.
